Future Plans & The Children’s Theatre Appeal
We recently launched our Children’s Theatre Appeal to raise funds for a new Children’s Studio Theatre in Buxton. The new studio theatre will occupy the current Paxton Suite stage site inside the Pavilion Gardens, Buxton. As well as housing our existing Fringe programme of film and drama, this will give us the space to present a hugely expanded programme of performances and workshops for children, young people and families. As plans currently stand, we anticipate taking possession of the Paxton Suite stage site in September 2008, and opening the new theatre in the New Year of 2009. There’s still some distance to go financially, and we will be moving into full fundraising mode over the next few months.
