Children’s Theatre Appeal & Sponsorship
The Opera House has agreed a lease with High Peak Borough Council to open a 106 seat studio theatre in the current Paxton Suite next door to the Opera House to house performances and participatory activities by and for children, teenagers and families. From September 2006 onwards we will be launching a Children’s Theatre Appeal. For further details please see our news article about the opening of the Children’s Theatre.
Education Programme Sponsorship
Buxton Opera House employs a full time Education & Community Officer and delivers an education programme for children, teenagers, families, schools and community groups.
Four Four Time Festival Sponsorship
The annual Festival of Live Music has featured world-class artists including Joan Armatrading, Elvis Costello, Jools Holland and Courtney Pine plus a host of other sensational acts from the jazz, folk and world music stage. Previous performers have included The Levellers, Martin Carthy, Shooglenifty, Bellowhead, The Soweto Kinch Quintet, Stan Tracey Trio, Warsaw Village Band, Chumbawamba, Glenn Tilbrook, Alex Wilson and Eddi Reader. Previous sponsors have included Pizza Express and the University of Derby.
Pantomime Sponsorship
Nearly 18,000 people enjoy our traditional family pantomime every year. Access audiences from the whole region during our busy Christmas period. Current and previous sponsors have included Peak Village, Waitrose and Pizza Express.
Performance Sponsorship
Sponsor a drama, opera, ballet, comedy, concert, children’s show, circus or even an ice show! The theatre presents an array of around 400 performances a year. Romance at Florence House have sponsored 3 opera performances this season, including two performances by English Touring Opera (pictured).
Season Sponsorship
Sponsor an entire season at Buxton Opera House and have access to a wide range of audiences and performances. You can also sponsor a selection of shows from the current season eg childrens shows, comedy shows, popular music etc. The current sponsors of our 2007 comedy season (which features Sean Hughes, Frank Skinner, Jenny Eclair and Paul Merton) are sandwich specialists Subway.

Sponsor the foyer, dress circle, stalls bar, stage or simply name a seat.
